when i read this my first thought was to that of the passion movie. i guess i just dont understand people - why would you make a movie like passion and still be doing crap like this. please take this with a grain of salt...he is living a truely Catholic life.
i just wish for once some famous person would actually have integrety - esp. one who proclaims the kind of things he did when the passion movie came out. i am just terribly upset with this - i thought he made the movie for something besides fame and fortune. obviously not though, the cards dont match up - you cant be serious about the King of the Jews and be anti-semitic retard.

Ummm yeah, because he made a really good impression around the time the movie came out. In one of his television interviews he actually said that he believed that his wife was doomed to hell because she was not a member of the Catholic church. Totally sounds like the kind of guy I want to look up to and respect...

Braveheart was studly. I'm English and I was rooting for Scotland in that one. Oh, and the dude made a mistake. Forgive the man. He'll plead out, pay a fine and maybe do some comm. service (if that is what movie stars do).

now about mel i don't think he ever tried to be anything but a director who got on board with a vision for something close to thier heart and tried to do the best they could with the task of translating that on film. he didn't ever in any of the interviews i saw try to pretend like he had all the answers. the fact that hollywood is ripping him to shreds i think has more to do with thier own money making agenda and the fact that he acted like a pompous idiot when he was arrested for something that he shouldv'e been immediately ashamed for but then that response would have been more appropriate coming from a sober person and not a drunk.
