OK, I lied...a semi-real post

It might just be me, but what is this man upset about? It irritates me that seniors who don't own a vehicle are eligible for the rebate...too bad more folks haven't traded in their licenses! It doesn't seem very fair that a person who hasn't registered a car should get a rebate on vehicle registration. What do you all think?

Personally I think that the entire rebate programs stinks in the first place... Here we are cutting programs from public schools like honor classes and arts programs, but we can send out a "rebate" to the citizens of this wonderful state... Hmmm... great idea for how to spend the budget surplus *insert sarcasm here* Okay, I'm done now...

being a future educator, i would disagree with jeni. the reason we have to cut programs and our schools suck is horrible mismanagement of funds (state in general, but WCSD definitely included), not the fact the money isn't there after $75 rebates.
that being said, is it any surprise most seniors vote democrat with great quotes like "it would be nice to have $75 coming." it would be nice to get money for nothing, wouldn't it?

Perhaps my disillusionment is the reason why I'm a FORMER future educator... I am perfectly aware of the mismanagement of money on all parts (including WCSD) but it was an example. The point would be, I think that the money could be put to a better purpose than giving EVERYBODY (including those who have NO need) a "rebate." I don't exactly have the money to be giving $75 away, but since I already did and it's gone and over with, I would personally like to see it go to a better purpose...
